A Cold Beauty – Lunar Halo: Arctic Landscape Print

The original painting of this Arctic landscape print hangs in my living room, and daily I find myself drawn into its serene, quiet beauty—immersed in a world that feels untouched by time or humanity.

Lunar halos occur when moonlight refracts through ice crystals in the atmosphere, creating a subtle, ethereal ring around the moon. This was part of a series exploring the mesmerizing optical phenomena of Arctic skies—solar and lunar rings, halos, coronas, fogbows and rainbows that arc across the horizon.

The scene invites you into that same stillness, a moment that feels almost timeless.

Printed using archival pigment inks on fine art paper.
