As the Waters Settle is an abstract landscape print that invites you into a contemplative world of shallow marshes or slow-moving streams, where mosses and grasses are enveloped by water and transformed into shifting patterns of light and colour.

Ambiguity is an important element of my abstract landscape paintings. I love the way that ambiguity invites curiosity and playfulness in the viewer and opens up all sorts of possibilities. Looking at this image now, I’m drawn into a place where the scale dissolves and delicate shapes and textures invite endless exploration. It is lovely to be able to lose myself there for a while.

Framing: Simple, elegant flat oak moulding with a conservation-grade antique white mount and clear Perspex glazing. Ready to hang.
