This fine art print captures a solitary iceberg floating serenely in a brilliantly sparkling Arctic sea. The many and subtle ways light and ice interact have long fascinated me. Icebergs have an extraordinary way of holding light, drawing their colour from the sun, sky, and surrounding water. The Luminist painter Frederick Edwin Church (1826–1900) even considered them to be the very embodiment of light in nature.

The scene depicts the untroubled solitude of a lone iceberg floating in a dazzling sea, with light casting the berg into deep blue shadow. It evokes a moment that feels both fleeting and timeless.
