This fine art print captures a sublime moment in Lapland, where an evening rainbow arcs over a tranquil lake, its colours glowing in the soft northern light. When I first visited Finnish Lapland in 2014, the landscapes and light felt so familiar—almost like the place I had been seeking and trying to evoke in my paintings for years. The silent, open expanses of trees and lakes were bathed in the purest light, and something about the north of Finland felt mysteriously like home. This painting is one of my more figurative responses to that experience of homecoming, wonder, and stillness.
