Fog Bow and Meltpools
Fog Bow and Melt Pools – Arctic Landscape Print
Arctic light is like a living thing—crisp, full, and subtle. I first experienced it in Finnish Lapland in 2014, where the vast skies and dazzling brilliance of sunlight on snow made a deep impression. This Arctic landscape print was an early exploration of those mesmerizing qualities and the ways light interacts with ice and snow.
A fogbow—created when light refracts through tiny water droplets in fog—arcs across melt pools on the ice. The droplets are so small that colours blend into a soft, ethereal white. The scene invites you into something mysterious and transcendent, a fleeting moment of Arctic beauty.
Printed using archival pigment inks on fine art paper.
