Painted in 2018, this piece recalls a quiet evening in Kangerlussuaq, Greenland. It was my first evening in Greenland and I so clearly remember the way the still waters of the lake reflected the fading light, the air crisp and clear as the sky softened from violet to pale gold. A moment of perfect stillness.
