A serene Northern Lights landscape print, evoking the quiet beauty of the Arctic night. Before painting the original canvas from which this print was made, I travelled to Finnish Lapland several times in search of the aurora. Seeing the Northern Lights is almost impossible to describe—it is a profoundly stilling, otherworldly experience, as if one is momentarily lifted out of oneself.

Of all the paintings I created from my time in the Arctic night, I feel that this is one that comes close to evoking that sensation of deep stillness and wonder.
