Rain’s Peculiar Grace is an abstract landscape print that captures a fleeting moment of grace: a rainbow briefly appearing in a drift of rain falling over a golden hillside, dark trees, and water. Whenever I see a rainbow, I feel awe and wonder. How is it possible that sunlight and rain combine to create something so unexpected and beautiful? Rain’s Peculiar Grace was one of my first rainbow paintings, and it still feels like a magical image to me. The subtle hues and textures dissolve into one another, suggesting a landscape that shifts and breathes with quiet possibility. It evokes delicate memories and offers the imagination a place to wander and the soul a space to rest.
