An abstract landscape screen print inspired by the lonely serenity of the mountains. I’ve long been fascinated by how still expanses of water in the lower half of an image open up space, and how the reflections they hold can create a sense of mystery. Here, the deep, velvety foreground suggests a star-studded night sky or the dark reflections of a pine forest. Above, an ambiguous twilight mountain landscape emerges, blurring the line between earth and sky. I am delighted by how these elements come together in this print to evoke a sense of mysterious stillness and quiet awe.
